“My husband and I recently stayed at the Marble Arch B&B. Our room was clean, comfortable, stylish, and outfitted with everything we needed. Since it faced into a park, the room was also blissfully quiet. The location was perfect, situated so near to Hyde Park and the Lancaster Gate tube station. The hostess is absolutely charming, gracious, witty, and helpful. She made a wonderful breakfast for us every morning, which we enjoyed in her gorgeous drawing room. We so enjoyed our conversations with her and appreciated her many tips and suggestions. For instance, when I mentioned that I love fabric, she consulted her designer friends and gave me the address of a very fine textile store – which I visited and found incredible. I have a length of beautiful silk to commemorate my visit there and to London. Over the course of our 3-week vacation, we stayed at several other B&Bs, but none quite met the standard that had been set at Marble Arch. The place was immaculate; the few house rules were sensible and easy to comply with; her breakfasts carefully cooked and well prepared. The location was ideal – several buses stop literally around the corner and the Lancaster Gate tube stop is less than a 5-minute walk away. Kensington Gardens is across the street.
