Docklands, London E14
  • Number of bedrooms: 2
  • Sleeps: 4
  • Nearest station: Limehouse tube
  • Prices from £125 per night

Vibrant, diverse and culturally interesting, Docklands is one of the fastest growing destination in London, where beautiful historic warehouses and old riverside pubs rub up to impressive new developments such as the awe-inspiring Canary Wharf.   The area is served by The Docklands Light Railway (DLR), a fast and efficient light rail system that links directly into the London Underground’s fast central line. From Limehouse station on the DLR you can be in the West End, or exploring Borough Market, the London Dungeon or Southwark Cathedral next to London Bridge tube (on the Jubilee Line) in 20 minutes.

This is a spectacular warehouse conversion on the Thames with breathtaking, sweeping views of the City of London, Tower Bridge and Canary Wharf.  There are two double guest bedrooms in a private guest wing of the apartment. One has private bathroom, the other has private shower-room and separate WC.

The architect/designer owner was in part responsible for the entire regeneration of the Docklands, is well documented in many magazines and books, and has created a visual masterpiece where antiques, books, art and exotic plants share the vast space. The private balcony and dining area provide a perfect spot to watch the river traffic go by.

Also a great spot for ExCel, Docklands Exhibition and Conference Centre.

"We thoroughly enjoyed are stay with Rae and very much enjoyed her personal attention to ensure our stay with her was a success. She is a delightful hostess, the views over the river impressive and her breakfasts perfectly balanced. The apartment is fascinating and we would recommend her premises to our friends, save that we want to keep it a secret!" Mr G, UK, July 2011

"What a lovely weekend we spent in your lovely  appartment in the converted warehouse in Narrow Street!! Who would know from the oustside what super views there are from the inside, the balcony and what a delight it is inside ! Your hospitality was wonderful - what a "Life and Soul" you are!  I really admire what you have done for the Regeration of Docklands.  My Brother and I were brought up in South London and can remember the derilict wharfs along the river side. To see it now is Great!! Rooms - very comfortable - breakfast - different from the usual Full English Fry-up - but Great!!  All in All - a delightful place to stay for a weekend in Docklands where there is so much to see and do. Well Done!!" - Mrs W, UK, June 2011

"I just came back home from London after a four day stay at the Docklands apartment. I want to tell you that I really appreciated it. Everything was wonderful, the location, the apartment, the hospitality but what was exceptional was the hostess, with her strength, her kindness that makes us feel like at home.Next time I’m coming to London I will certainly contact you again. Thanks a lot for your suggestion, you made my stay in London very pleasant". - Mr de N, Italy, June 2011

"Our friendliest thanks for such a warm welcome and the wonderful stay we had within this lovely decorated and situated apartment (ten out of ten!!). We spent an excellent time here and the discussions we shared were greatly passionate and insightful. We hope to find another opportunity to come back to London soon".  - Mr & Mrs W, USA, October 2010

"We found enormous hospitality and kindness at this home. It was such a special experience to stay at this wonderful house - and we enjoyed our stay very much. Our enormous compliments". - Mr & Mrs F, USA, October 2010

"We stayed for 5 nights with Rae at the Docklands B&B location. It is right on the Thames and located a few stops on the light railway from Canary Wharf. Our host was great and she took good care of us and made fabulous breakfasts with the best eggs around. The bedroom is very large and centrally heated and the bathroom facilities are very good. Nice and quiet too. You eat breakfast overlooking the Thames and watching the Thames Clippers pass by.  Great little pubs further along the street for a drink or meal. Conveniently located 5 mins walk from nearest rail station, and not too far into Central London on the Tube" - Ms McG, Australia, October 2010

"I had a great stay at your London Docklands location. In my opinion it is the best location in London for doing business and having easy access to the theatre and museums. I find that I get a lot more done when I stay at this location.  The DLR is a three minute walk. The Limehouse station is easy to use and I feel safe in it at night when returning from the threatre of a concert.  Rae provides a wonderful breakfast and is a great host.  She is very accommodating and tries to make your stay special." - Mr B, UK, September 2010
