In order to be a successful host, you need to have a genuine desire to meet people and truly enjoy inviting people into your home. You also need to have a talent for delivering a consistently high quality of service.
The way you welcome a guest goes a long way to defining the way a ‘stay’ is going to go. It is important to make a guest feel at home whilst at the same time being respectful of a guest’s personal space.
As a host you can share your knowledge of your local area and be able to give guests the insider track as to what to do and where to go. This can make a huge difference to someone who has no previous experience of the area.
