In order to be a successful host, you need to have a genuine desire to meet people and truly enjoy inviting people into your home. You also need to have a talent for delivering a consistently high quality of service.
As a host you should have a great knowledge of your local area and be able to give guests the insider track as to what to do and where to go. This can make a huge difference to someone who has no previous experience of the area.
The way you welcome a guest goes a long way to defining the way a ‘stay’ is going to go. It is important to make a guest feel at home whilst at the same time being respectful of a guest’s personal space.
