May 2011 – Festival of Britain: 60th Anniversary
Have a memorable visit to London this summer at the Southbank Centre as it celebrates the 60th anniversary of the Festival of Britain with a four-month Festival of British culture and creativity. Experience performances, talks and events by some of Britain’s leading artists and thinkers. Festival highlights include Ray Davies curating this year’s Meltdown (June), Tracey Emin’s first major survey show in London at the Hayward Gallery plus appearances by Lang Lang, Heston Blumenthal, Billy Bragg, John Berger, Meera Syal and Tony Benn. Themed weekends celebrate just some of the highlights of British culture – from Light Fantastic in collaboration with the BBC (24 to 26 June), to a hip-hop weekend (14 to 17 July) and Vintage Weekend at Southbank Centre (29 to 31 July).

April 2011 – B&B’s with tennis courts

October 2010 – Go Batty in London
If you are in search of ghosts and ghouls to get you shaking in your boots then a visit to The Tower of London is a must. Many an execution has taken place within these walls from Guy Fawkes to Anne Boleyn whose ghosts are said to dwell within the tower, haunting all those that are brave enough to enter.
